2013 New York Resort Collections

When I think about resort wear I think about luxury, relaxation and the exhale. I think of businessmen and women taking all of the sweat and tears of that year and transforming it into that fairy tale-like place that just screams affluence. I keep those very thoughts in mind when I view the 2013 Resort Collections shown in New York. Sit with me and lets talk about the pieces of clothes, and art that I have chosen to be the best of New York. I am dying to see some of these pieces on the red carpet, next year!

2013 Paris Resort Collections

I look at this year's resort lines of Paris, I see innovation and transformation of classic forms in new beautiful ways. Paris did not have many collections for me to choose from, but it did have some of the best. I have never seen a tunic look so luxurious than Andrew Gn's silk royal deep berry purple gown with an enormous bell sleeve.  Balmain is doing me in the eye sockets with this little gold embroidered dress. I hope you live and this Dose of Fashion. Proceed!

Mois de la Mode: Kami's Picks!

Kami's Picks!

Previously on Dose of Fashion's Mois de la Mode edition, New York proved again why it is the fashion capital of the world!; Milan took my breath away, London made me love their quirks, and I wanted to make LOVE to Paris! This post is more about the collections I have adored from all the major fashion weeks. I love colour, theatrics, spice, flavor, pop culture, quirkiness, dance and ethnicity in my garments. You may like these pieces. You may want to hurt me for posting these ensembles. However these designers define my style. Bon Apetite!

Versace in the Ateliar: Fall 2012 Couture

This show came close to home. Donatella Versace's Fall Couture line was coincidentally shown in the same venue her brother used for 8 years! I find this to be a touching, thoughtful, and calculated move on Ms. Donatella's part. I love the look of the Versace woman. In my mind's eye, I see this strong, whimsical woman with a taste for the new and exciting; a taste for adventure. This is my type of woman. If you enjoy the many complexities of women, this is the couture show for you! Check it out and give me a dose of your mind!

Mois de la Mode: Milan Fashion Week

MILAN FASHION WEEK

Milan Fashion Week was a great display of the main aspects of great fashion. For me, it is the Color, Print, Construction and the genuine understanding of the consumer's wants. I found that out of all the Fall Fashion Weeks, I enjoyed Milan the most. With that being said, ease on down the blog!

Versus- Look 28

The Prints, the cut, the embroidery; the impeccable construction of it all...Jeez, Milan impressed me. Bally's crimson leather military jacket was immaculate. D&G, Armani, Iceberg, Prada and Versus's colors POP my EYES OUT. Rimondi, Dsquared^2, Pucci, Gucci, Beccaria, Cavalli, Ferragamo had stunning dresses with velvet cut; just right, and lace embroidery for days! I saw so many jaw dropping ensembles. Oh my Gosh, The MVP of Milan was definitely Versace, hands down! Those fitted gowns, the defined look of the make up and hair, the glitz and glamour; BOZZLE! I think that if I touched a Versace piece, my hands would sizzle and burn because I am stupid and poor and Ms. Donatella Versace screams expensive. Versace kills me everytime. I live, breathe and die for the Versace haus.

Thank you for reading this week's edition on Dose of Fashion. I hope that in this entry you've gained even more style than you already had; and I know ya'll some stylish Mamma-Jammas! With that OPEN up your Mind, Heart and Mouth! Fall in love with fashion with me. Leave me a message, Por Favor. Same time, Same Place, Different Designer Medications!
